When there is a need, even a smile helps, let alone setting up a lemonade stand. This 6-year-old from Grafton, Massachusetts, decided that he would much rather pour lemonade to help a local police sergeant than spend his summer break running around.
Tyler Hardiman decided to raise money to help a local police officer who had been off duty for months due to cancer.
I just wanted to ‘cuz I wanted to raise money for the police officer…’cuz he has kids.
Tyler’s mom and his best friend helped him on this endeavor and the word spread very quickly. All the families from the neighborhood stopped by but they were not the only ones.
When the police heard about Tyler’s lemonade stand, they decided to stop by as well.
Tyler’s goal was to raise $1,000 but with all the people willing to support his cause, he managed to raise $1500.
Isn’t this a lesson we can all learn or be reminded of. It takes so little to create something very big and meaningful. Watch the video and share the story! Spread goodness around the world!
